Transform Your Thinking

This is a 3-months 1-on-1 coaching program with a step-by-step process to understand and change your thinking.

When working with clients, I focus primarily on the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model. First developed in the 1970s as a treatment for depression, CBT is a goal-oriented form of therapy aimed at understanding and treating psychological problems.  Through this understanding, clients gain the ability to understand how their thoughts, feelings, physical reactions, and behaviors interact and maintain their problems.  In turn, CBT gives them the tools necessary to make the positive changes in their thoughts that will then create positive changes in their lives.

Here are some situations and questions to ask yourself to see if we can work with CBT to help you find your best you.

You often feel overwhelmed with life, and wish you could have a better understanding of the factors that are causing and maintaining your difficulties. When you understand your problems, you feel more in control. This is the first step in making positive changes.

The next step is self-reflection. We dive into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how they are all connected.  We examine your triggers, reactions, and automatic thoughts in order to identify which thoughts are worth working on to bring about meaningful change.

Don’t know yet where to go in life?  We work to clarify your life goals and then find ways to ensure your life takes the direction necessary to succeed in reaching your specific goals.

Do you want to stop thinking negatively? Our negative thoughts are like thinking habits: we assume they are true and don’t stop to question whether they make sense. The good news is that habits can be changed! New ways of thinking open up the possibility of behavioral change.

Do you find it hard to find the positive among all the negative?  Because often our mind is filled with all types of information and noise, it can be difficult to listen beyond the loud negatives that are blocking the calm positives.  I help my clients develop tools to see through the chaos and focus on the calm and balanced.

THE BIG ONE: Do you believe your problems can be solved? There are definitely moments when there seems to be no solution in sight.  I promise there is a solution and there are special tools to help with each situation, even if it means we step outside of all of your usual boxes to find it.

As a life coach, I am here for you 100%.  We all have our challenges and we all have our goals, and yet there is nothing that says we can’t accept some help in finding our paths to the life we truly want for ourselves.
